Rockman Zero 2 First Screenshots!

Several reports have been pouring in over the new screenshots and information on Mega Man Zero 2, the sequel to last year's smash hit. According to some information, Zero has a new weapon called a Chain Rod which may act like a whip and allow Zero to swing from rooftops. The Cyber-Elves are back in action of course, and Zero now has "Form Change" (perhaps similar to MMBN2) in which he can assume different abilities. The form shown is "Defense Form," which reduces damage by half. The bosses are said to have "EX Skills," which may boil down to nothing more than their special abilities, but may prove to add a game element of choosing EX Skills to take after beating a boss. Two new pieces of artwork as well as many screenshots can be found at the Game Watch Rockman Zero 2. Though story details are sketchy, a new Resistance character appears present in one of the screenshots. So far the character, whose gender is ambiguous, has been given the possible name "Elvis" by the Japanese "erubisu." Japanese gaming sitio EG has posted up a screenshot that has been absent from other sitios, which appears to be Harpuia on the back of a creature similar to Aztec Falcon, while Zero lay on the ground. We're told this is the apertura scene to the game, which makes enough sense given the motives of vengeance left open in the last game. If further translations give us any more details, we'll let you know.
