The official SC site already offers quite a bit of gameplay info. Combine with various magazine info, here's a summary:
1) It plays as an RTS.
2) It uses a "teams" system, there are 6 teams.
3) The Battle Team has a maximum of 5 units. These are the units that engage the enemy in the mission.
4) The Backup Team. The Battle Team is still limited to 5, but it is possible to swap heavily-damaged units with units in the Backup Team during the mission.
5) Surrounding Backup Team. These units do not engage on the frontlines, but are located nearby to intercept enemy reinforcements. No info about how this actually works.
6) Defence Team. Used in stages that feature defensive objectives. Supposedly units assigned to this team gets defence-related bonuses.
7) Repair Team. This does not get deployed onto the field at all. Units only recover 10% of HP after each mission! For full recovery they must be deployed in the Repair Team, where they will be fully repaired after 1 mission. Obviously they cannot be used in the mission at all.
8) Upgrade team. Similar to the Repair Team, but this involves upgrades.
9) The most powerful atttacks of each unit is labelled as a Deathblow. To execute a deathblow, a unit must pause and charge up. Obviously it will be vulnerable and cannot do anything while charging. Once charged, the deathblow is unleashed
